Announcements: 8/08: West Coast Taikai
6/08: ISKU Seminar at the dojo Okinawa Trip 3/08: Dojo move is complete! Dojo Tournament 3/29 at the dojo. 9/07: School is back in! West Coast Taikai: Wes Brown received Shodan in Mugai Ryu Iaihyodo. Mr. Rivers places in 3 divisions at the West Coast Taikai: 1st in Iai Kata, 2nd in Iai Tameshigiri, 3rd in Batto Kata. 2nd Place Overall (There was a tie for 1st overall...congrats Filthy Bill) 7/07: Japan Trip! 12 days of training. Mr. Brown and Mr. Rivers were treated to more training in one of the hottest months in Tokyo. DNBK World Youth Butokusai: 10 students from the dojo met up with 15 other Seishinkai members from all over the country to participate in the Dai Nippon Butokukai World Youth Summit. We received many awards. Will Love received an educational scholarship for his efforts in the speech contest. Summer Camp! Complete with sleepovers at the dojo and swimming at Mr. Brown's house. 5/07: ISKU Karate Training Camp- Atlanta Georgia- Several dojo members piled into the Hancock van and drove down to Georgia to meet with Kaicho Burgermeister, Honbucho Lenny Jordan, and GA Shibucho Ron Davis for a weekend of training. Mr. Brown, Mr. Oppel, and Mr. Robb tested for the Nidan. Mr Ballard received his Shodan Ho and Dianne Hancock received her Green Belt. |
